of course, there is a story behind every release, and this ligovskoi debut on dement3d goes back to one of their first live performances in paris, back in 2011, organized by our cousin label silicate : a group of artists - including dscrd - were invited to recompose an ambient soundtrack on the movie outland by peter hyams. ligovskois live performance was absolute magic, and their intense and powerful sound signature - with moving infra-thin melodies, ethereal noises, and deep bass foundations - was already sounding perfect.
“inverso” is the new vinyl sub-label of kript records, whose concept is based on the meaning that the word assumes in different fields, in mathematics for example the “inverso” ratio means that the product of the variables always remain constant. but the word “inverso” is also a concept that leads to an exact opposite of what it assumes. these two meanings of the word “inverso” inspire all the tracks of the label, characterized by a -noisy and distorted- sound, where symmetry and asymmetry live together and where analog source and analog processing give a great touch of depth.

at its very first start, the new label founded by conrad van orton proposes a vinyl of his own with two original tracks on the a side, november and captivity archives. and two great remixers such as vsk and the mysterious annuled user on the other. just as the needle starts to mark the passage, the classic four quarters give life to a beat that between one step and another compresses catapulting reality in a classic industrial scenario of mid-autumn where the clear sky gets marked by black and deep plots. a background noise accompanies the whole programming part of the drumming that gives off a relentless pace. on the a side captivity archives reconfirms the industrial nature of cvo with a look towards distant galaxies ..... with the needle still hot we turn around the record to the b side. here we find the vsk remix with a more ambient and crystal clear sound. to the original drum, vsk, choose an equally technical percussion. all home made. last but not least the contribution given by annulled user. trademark? techno! .. and there is nothing here to mess about with. 4/4 dry, hard which feel anger and rebellion desire. the kick, fairly present, is ripped apart by some demonic filters. the 5.30 min of annulled user are a reminiscence of the 90s.

013 materializes as a long player titled spectrum prints on machining dreams by myself. a single 12 inch with seven compositions, 3 ambient and 4 proper tunes that dig deep into ones psyche with emotive sounds and highly rhythmic syncopation. recorded with mostly analog gear, so the warmth is present as the sound pallette is completely full of life. in this project i try to cover a full spectrum of waveforms that are printed on vinyl, hence the name spectrum prints.

divine machte sich in den späten siebziger jahren zunächst einen namen als skuriller schauerspieler in john waters filmen (u.a. hairspray, pink flamingos), bevor der travestie-künstler dann in den frühen 80er jahren von erfolgsproduzent bobby orlando (u.a. pet shop boys, the flirts) auch für plattenveröffentlichungen produziert wurde, die den typischen bobby-o disco-sound hatten. innerhalb von knappen 3 jahren landete divine dann auch einen großen hit nach dem anderen, bis er schliesslich 1988 auf tragische weise ums leben kam. doch seine songs sind bis heute unvergessen geblieben.

barcelonas marc piñol and clip! add some extra oomph to two of the songs taken from pajaro sunrise equally brilliant and hard-to-pronnounce kulturkatzenjammer album.
one of the key tracks on pajaro sunrise latest studio album kulturkatzenjammer, the happy-sad *long forgotten flowers*, gets a hypnotic house treatment from hivern veteran marc piñol. the melancholy disappears to make way for a more hedonistic sound, more than doubling the songs length in the process.
more dance floor action comes from up and coming rbma alumnus clip!, who reshapes the introverted *good to see you* into a straight-up piano house monster.
as if that werent enough, these fine remixes are accompanied by the rather eerie non-album track *guess things happen that way*, a cover of the cowboy jack clement-penned 1958 johnny cash hit. yuri méndez, jr. at his darkest.
this holographic release was inspired by black hole thermodynamics. in the case of omni, the insight was that the sound content of all fallen objects might be contained in surface fluctuations of the event horizon. siren to siren is microscopically random, like a hot gas. a known configuration of classic tape sounds has zero entropy: there is nothing random about binary configurations. if one throws a hot gas with entropy into the g count, the entropy would disappear - producing aggressive bandwidths, and ragga baselines.

newcastle upon tyne (uk) based turquoise blue presents a very special release featuring four original tracks from non-other than kostas tassopoulos – better known to many as ekkohaus. for those unfamiliar with turquoise blue, the label has been causing quite a stir ever since its first release in 2011, featuring music from household names including laura jones, kris wadsworth, dj w!ld and djebali, among many others. it was clear from early releases on heavyweight labels including morris audio, 2020 vision and liebe detail that this was a man with a big future but, to many, it was ekkohaus album release in may 2013 that defined him as a major player in the game. released by matthias tanzmann’s moon harbour recordings, the album topped many a download chart and was a firm favourite with djs around the globe. this is a landmark release for turquoise blue, which started life as a digital only label but after starting to press vinyl in september 2012, the label has gone full circle with this, their debut vinyl-only release. not only does this release sound incredible but it looks sublime and is as much a collector’s item as it is a dj tool. a limited run of 300 will be pressed on heavyweight, clear marbled vinyl.
